Here at Artistic Lemonade, we are committed to preserving and protecting the intellectual property rights of artist. We research the copyright and permissions status of every submitted work before placing it on the site.

When an artist submits his or her own work for consideration, we will always contact the artist to verify ownership and permission prior to posting the Lemonade Story on our site. We will link to sites that our featured artists request: this could mean a personal web site, a gallery site, book or poster sales, or other sites that could help our visitors learn more about the featured artist.

In cases where someone other than the artist submits the work for consideration, we will not host any images or clips of the work on this site. Instead, we will link to web sites (like Amazon.com or Art.com) that include images or clips of the artist’s work and that routinely secure the permission to do so. A box with images served by one of our partner sites will appear next to the Lemonade Story in those cases. If the featured artist is a musician or other performing artist, visitors need only click on the images to find audio or video samples of the work.

Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding copyright protection or intellectual property rights. We also welcome ideas on ways to further protect those rights for our artists as this site grows.
